Delete your Goal account

Account deletion permanently removes your Goal.fit account and associated data after you confirm it in the authenticated app. “Delete Goal.fit data” is different: it clears your tracking data but preserves account access.

How to delete your account

  • Open the Goal app with the account you want to delete.
  • Tap Settings on the welcome screen, or from Today after setup, then find Account & privacy.
  • Choose “Delete account” and review the permanent-deletion warning.
  • Confirm deletion. The active account and associated data are removed immediately and cannot be recovered.

If you cannot access the app

Contact [email protected] for help recovering access or initiating deletion. Write from the email associated with the account when possible. We will never ask for a password, one-time code, passkey credential, or detailed health record.

What deletion covers

Deletion removes the active account, authentication associations, settings, goals, nutrition and weight records, body-composition records, normalized connected-health summaries, synchronization receipts, and other tracker information associated with that account. Optional Apple Health and Health Connect permissions remain controlled in device Settings and can also be withdrawn there.

What may remain temporarily

Limited records may remain for a short period in protected backups, security logs, fraud-prevention records, or records we must retain by law. Backups expire on their normal schedule and are not used to restore a deleted account to active service. We will explain any material exception that applies to your request.

Deleting Goal.fit data is not account deletion

The in-app “Delete Goal.fit data” action removes synchronized observations, targets, receipts, and measurement events and starts a new data generation. It leaves your verified account, sign-in methods, and ability to begin tracking again intact. Choose account deletion when you want the account itself removed.

Before deleting

  • Deletion is not an export and cannot be undone after active records are removed.
  • Deleting the app or browser history does not delete server information.
  • If you only want to disconnect Apple Health or Health Connect, change its permissions in Goal or device Settings instead.
